We’re joined this week by author, long distance cyclist, teacher and all around super woman Helen Moat
Jan 14th, 2019
Christmas seems ages ago and we're back into work like nothing happened. This week we have an interview with Helen Moat, author, blogger, ex teacher and long distance cyclist for a chat about her life growing up in Northern Ireland in the height of the troubles and her work to get us all to slow down a little and enjoy the beauty of Derbyshire. For music, we are joined by Frank Power from Switzerland. Frank or Dino as he's known travelled from his home just outside of Zurich to play his second gig at Designate at the Gate in Matlock. Using my new trusty out side broadcasting gear I managed to grab a few songs in front of a live audience. There's the chink of a pint glass and a huge amount of applause so be prepared for a unique artist. If you'd like to catch up with Helen, try www.helenmoatsite.wordpress.com and on @slowtravelpeakdistrict on facebook. You can also see Helen's work at www.countryfile.com in a fab article about Birchover.
